Sponsored: ICE! at Gaylord Palms

I'm really excited to share this post because ICE! at Gaylord Palms is one of my favorite Christmas activities! It's so much fun for the whole family, and it has become a tradition in mine.

Last night I had the very awesome opportunity to get a sneak peek at this year's ICE! event during an exclusive media preview. This was my second year attending as media, and I have to say, Gaylord really goes above and beyond for the holidays.

I brought two of my closest friends with me, and we really had a blast checking out all of the new elements Gaylord Palms has added to this year's event.

The iconic Christmas tree is back, but with a brand new show. 'Joyful' shares worldwide Christmas traditions, representing this year's ICE! theme of 'Christmas Around the World'. The GIANT tree (located in the Atrium) is covered in thousands of lights, as they twinkle and dance to songs of many countries.

'Cirque Dreams Unwrapped' also presented a new form of its acrobatic show, featuring never-before-seen, high-flying acts. It was announced that there are several different versions of the performance, so what you see tonight may not be what you see tomorrow night... Or even the next night!

Here is a short clip of the 25-minute performance:

In addition to the updated shows, guests can enjoy new live performances by Jack and Jackie Frost. The characters and their friends take the stage to sing some classic Christmas tunes. Photo opportunities may also be available with some other characters along the way... Like these cute gingerbread people!

And finally, ICE!. This year's 'Christmas Around the World' theme brings all of our nations together in a very special way. With more than two million pounds of clear, white and colored ice, the traditions of Christmas are shared through magnificent ice sculptures, reminding us to let their be peace on Earth during this holiday season.

The walk-through Christmas attraction is kept at a chilly nine degrees.  But don't worry! — Parkas are provided. Just be sure to dress properly underneath with long sleeves, pants and closed shoes.

Hot chocolate is available after visiting ICE!, along with even more fun! Alpine Village features snowball carnival games, snow tubing (my personal favorite), a Build-A-Bear section, Christmas gift shops and even some holiday themed treats.

ICE! opens to the public tonight and will run through Jan. 7, 2018. CLICK HERE for more information & to celebrate Christmas at Gaylord Palms.
