White Christmas 2017 (ft. Color Wash Shampoo)

Happy Holidays, everybody! I hope you all had a very merry Christmas!

I spent Christmas Day with my family and the night with some friends who have truly become family over the years. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better holiday. <3

This winter I sure have been dreaming of a white Christmas... And as much as I'd love to see some snow here in Orlando, that's not the kind of white Christmas I'm talking about!

I've wanted my hair to be as white as snow for a while now, but it never seemed realistic as I spent a full year religiously dyeing my hair black every five weeks.

(A photo for reference...)

All of those layers of black dye really built up! And trying to bleach it all out? Awful. A terrible experience. 10/10 would never do it again. (Well, I'd dye my hair black again. But I sure as heck wouldn't try to level up from black to blonde so quickly ever again...)

It's taken a couple of years to recover, but here we are. WHITE.
Started from the bottom, now we're here...

... Literally. Level 1 to Level 10 real quick. Haha
Since I've reached platinum, I've been really excited to try out the Celeb Luxury Color Wash Shampoo.

This shampoo is meant to extend color and stop fade in between salon visits. It works best on a fresh canvas of bleached white hair. (Or on hair that is already the color of the shampoo, if you aren't starting from scratch.)

The shampoo is available in 10 "pastel" and "extreme" colors. Pastel: light pink, lavender, baby blue. Extreme: yellow, teal, red, hot pink, purple, blue, silver.

I would really love to try several of these in the new year, but the "Extreme Silver" is my first choice.

The Extreme Silver Color Wash is perfect for keeping platinum hair toned. Out of the bottle, it's a very, very, VERY dark blue. Which is kind of terrifying; not going to lie. But none of those blue tones stuck to my hair— it was toned to perfection. From my first couple of uses I was able to tell an immediate difference. It eliminated all yellow and really left my hair looking shiny, sleek and SILVER.

*Note: Silver. Not smoky grey Pinterest hair.

At first, I used it daily with my usual (sulfate-free) conditioner. Now I've reduced to once a week.

This shampoo does act as a toner, which can dry out your hair. So it is important to make sure that you are pairing it with your own SULFATE-FREE moisturizing conditioner, if you are not using the Celeb Luxury conditioner. It must be sulfate-free, or the toner will fade right out.

I absolutely love this product and would recommend it to anyone. I can't wait to try some of the other colors!

Stay tuned for more info about the Celeb Luxury Color Wash products.
